If you've been on a fixed tariff then you've already missed the 50% ish jump in October last year, be thankful you've been spared that over the worst of winter but it does mean you're going to get both increases at the same time.
It is worth spending the time to check your actual usage in kWh (forget the dd payment, they're meaningless when working out your usage) against EDF's figures to make sure everything tally's up.

EDF increased ours from £160 to £240/month and then gave us a £350 refund less than a month later. Apparently their 'forecast for DD' and their 'actual bill and refund' systems are completely separate . The advisor recommended that I ask for a review after six months.
